Inverters¶

Inverter modules provide a quick and efficient way to invert the polarity of a signal. Signal inversion is also provided on the analog inputs and crossover outputs. Symetrix's inversion process is equivalent to reversing the hot and cold wires on a balanced signal or pressing the "phase" (Φ) button on many analog mixing consoles. 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 channel versions of this module are provided.

Each channel has a button to invert the signal, or not. When pressed (green), the output signal is inverted relative to the input signal. When not pressed (gray), the output polarity is identical to the input.

The inversion is dezippered so no clicks or pops are heard when changing the inversion setting. The signal is quickly and gracefully faded out and then faded back in with it's polarity inverted.
