Control Signal Packers/Unpackers¶

Control Signals over Dante

Control Signals can be sent between Symetrix DSPs using Control Signal Packers/Unpackers. Up to thirty-two (32) Control Signals can be packed into a single Dante audio channel.

When viewing the DSP design within Composer, you will find in the Toolkit under Control Modules, Control Signal Packers and Control Signal Unpackers. These modules must be inserted between your control modules and Network I/O modules.

Always match the size of the unpacker on the receiving side of the Dante bus to the packer on the transmit side or unexpected results will occur. Control Signal Packer/Unpacker modules are available in 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 channels.
