Introduction to Composer®¶
Composer Software:
Composer software manages all aspects of Symetrix Dante devices including audio, control and security with an intuitive drag and drop CAD-style interface delivering a straightforward and intuitive programming environment. Composer’s fast, fluid navigation accelerates site file design with over 600 proven DSP modules. Logical, easy to use external control protocol makes the Symetrix DSP the platform of choice for many 3rd party remote control programmers. SymVue executable user control screens provide sophisticated control options using custom graphical user interfaces. The buses are capable of (64) channels of audio each, with (128) channels of digital audio per unit. There is a total network capacity of (1024) channels of Dante digital audio supported on a gigabit network for system design flexibility. Plug-and-play networking enables multiple Composer devices to function as building blocks in a scalable system design, from one standalone DSP to any networked combinations of Composer hardware.
Composer Manages Symetrix Edge Hardware:
Symetrix Edge hardware is Dante enabled and designed to meet the I/O capacity requirements of the bulk of commercial sound installations. Edge features four configurable I/O card slots, up to 16 channels total of local I/O, plus 128 (64x64) channels of Dante network audio. Flexible I/O and plug-and-play networking enable multiple Edge units to scale to your projects’ demands. Composer manages all aspects of audio, control and security for Symetrix Edge hardware.
Composer Manages Symetrix Radius Hardware:
Built for performance, Symetrix Radius digital signal processors trump the competition, consistently providing more processing per project. An internal gigabit switch provides the bandwidth to unleash the power of Dante to deliver ultra-low latency networked audio. Multiple units may be connected without additional third-party network switches, or with additional hardware, configured for redundant operation with seamless failover. Composer manages all aspects of audio, control and security for Symetrix Radius hardware.
End User Control Options Configured with Composer:
End user control options for Symetrix Edge and Radius hardware include Symetrix' ARC wall panels, ARC-WEB browser-based remote, the xControl, SymVue custom standalone user control application, GPIO, and support of third-party controllers such as Crestron and AMX. Composer manages all aspects of audio, control and security for Symetrix end user control options.
System Expansion Configured with Composer:
The cost effective Symetrix xIn 12 and xOut 12 increase a system’s analog input or output channel capacity resulting in a reduction in overall price per channel. Designed exclusively for use with Symetrix Edge and Radius DSP units, each of the twelve studio-grade analog inputs, switchable between mic and line level, and each of the 12 studio-grade, line level outputs, along with bus assignments, are configured using Composer open architecture software. xIn 12 and xOut 12 set-up is logical and fast with no requirement to use third party software; there are no mechanical switches or circuit board jumpers to set. Systems are simpler, cost less, and have fewer potential points of failure. Symetrix system expansion hardware is configured with Composer.
