A&E Specifications

The hardware dialer shall be designed exclusively for use with Symetrix DSP-hosted telco interfaces. The dialer shall provide all call management functions and support 100 programmable speed dial numbers.

A designer software application shall be provided that operates on a Windows computer, with network interface installed, running Windows 10® or higher operating system. Computer connection for configuration shall be via the device’s rear (bottom) panel Ethernet connector.

The front panel shall include 25 buttons and a display. The display shall provide call management details plus operational and system status.

All program memory shall be non-volatile and provide program security should power fail. The device shall provide time and date display and may sync to NTP or a DSP unit in the same site.

The device shall be powered over Ethernet (PoE) by an IEEE 802.3af Class 0 standard compliant switch or the included injector. The device shall meet UL/CSA and CE safety requirements and comply with CE and FCC Part 15 emissions limits. The device shall be RoHS compliant. The chassis shall be constructed of Galvalume and molded plastic. The device shall be a SymetrixPD-1.

Front Panel

Appearance Select: When controlling a line on a VoIP Interface card, these buttons select the appearance to use or act upon. When controlling a line on an Analog Telephone Interface card, these buttons are not used.

Display: Shows current call status and system settings.

Hook Control: Equivalent to the Call/End and Connect/Disconnect buttons in Composer, this is a hook control used to place or end a call, or resume a held call. The hook status for each appearance or line is indicated by icons in the display.

Soft Keys (1-4): The function of each is dependent upon unit status and mode of operation. The current function of each is indicated by an icon directly above each key.

Remote Up/Down and Rx Mute: Used to control volume up and down as well as Rx mute of the remote caller(s).

Phone Pad: Standard 10-key (plus asterisk and pound) phone pad used for dialing.

Local Up/Down and Tx Mute: Used to control volume up and down for the local reinforcement as well as Tx (local mics and/or media) mute.

Rear Panel

Ethernet: 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port for Composer host control and power.
