CD Horn EQ¶
This module is provided to produce and increase in high frequency (treble) response to compensate for the HF lost in a loudspeaker which uses a constant directivity (CD) horn. It can also be used as a filter to boost high frequency in other applications.
Mono and stereo versions of the CD Horn EQ are available. The stereo module processes both inputs with identical filters.

Both mono and stereo versions have the following controls:
- Gain. Determines the amount of boost applied. Set this parameter according to your loudspeaker's specifications. The default setting of 10dB should be appropriate for many applications. Adjust using the slider or click in the text entry box to specify a numerical value.
- Frequency. Determines where the bosst takes place. Set this parameter according to your loudspeaker's specifications. The default seetting of 3kHz should be appropriate for many applications. Technically, the indicated frequency is the point where the filter has reached half of its specified dB gain. For example, for +10dB boost with a 3kHz frequency, the signal is boosted by +5dB at 3kHz. Adjust using the slider or click in the text entry box to specify a numerical value.
- Bypass. Pressing this button bypasses the filter so that no filtering is done and the output is identical to the input.
A graphs is provided so you can view the frequency response of the filter. You can modify the crossover parameters either by using the sliders or by clicking and dragging on the graph. Drag the green box horizontally to adjust the frequency of the filter or vertically to adjust the amount of boost.
