Security Basics¶

Each Panel in SymVue is configurable for secure access during the export process. By selecting individual Panels in the Panel Security dialog portion of the SymVue Export Wizard, a password will be required in order to view and control the Panel. A Logout button may be placed on any Panel as well, so that when it is clicked the trusted relationship will be severed and a user will be required to enter the password again before operation may continue.

Note: Once a secure Panel has been logged into, any panels that are accessible from that Panel will be available for viewing and manipulation. For further explanation, please see the Security Operation section topic.
