Small Speaker EQ¶
This module adjusts the frequency response of a signal to sound better when used with the small speakers typically found in ceiling-mount applications. Since these loudspeakers typically cannot product deep bass frequencies, they are removed and the higher bass frequencies that can be produced are boosted to compensate. The high frequency (treble) response is boosted as well.
Mono, dual mono and stereo versions have the following controls:
- Filter Type buttons (Type 1, Type 2, Model 8, Model 25). This setting controls the frequency response of the module. Type 1 provides a comparatively gentle curve good for many loudspeaker types. Type 2 is a little more aggressive. The Model 8 and Model 25 settings are provided specifically to work with a popular loudspeaker manufacturer's permanent install models
- Bypass. Pressing this button bypasses the filter so that no filtering is done and the output is identical to the input.

A graph is provided so you can view the frequency response of the filter.
