Delays¶

Composer has (9) different delays in it's toolbox, in Mono, Dual-Mono and Stereo versions. They differ in the delay range: 0-10ms, 0-20ms, 0-50ms, 0-100ms, 0-200ms, 0-500,s. 0-1sec, 0-2sec, 0-5sec. You enter the delay time either in milliseconds, feet, or meters. The total delay permitted per Edge, Prism or Radius unit is 174.8 seconds. Server D100 has an increased amount of delay allowing a 5sec module to be used per Dante input and output (i.e. 768 5sec modules).

The speed of sound is temperature dependent and you can enter the ambient temperature if you wish to more accurately convert a delay time to distance.

The default setting is 68°F. Mute and Bypass buttons are also provided to mute the output of the delay or de-activate the delay respectively.
